Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections uses a patient's own platelets to promote healing and tissue regeneration.
Platelets contain growth factors that can stimulate cell repair and reduce inflammation. PRP injections are often used for musculoskeletal injuries, such as tendonitis, ligament injuries, and osteoarthritis.

Trigger Point Injection Therapy
Trigger point injection (TPI) therapy is a procedure where a needle is inserted into a muscle's trigger point to relieve pain.
These trigger points are tight knots in muscles that can cause pain both locally and in other areas of the body. The injection, often containing a local anesthetic, aims to relax the muscle and reduce pain.

Often patients receive injections from their primary care doctor. These contain steroids and are often done without ultrasound guidance.
In Sports Medicine, injections are administered with direct visualization of the joint so we can be certain the medicine is being delivered to the correct spot. In addition, there are also more advanced medicines available for injection in a Sports Medicine clinic.
